Clare Jones is the recipient of grants and fellowships from the New York State Council on the Arts, the Kolaj Institute, Fulbright Program, Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts, and the Iowa Writers' Workshop. She received the Keats-Shelley Prize for her essay "Bat, Bat, Come Under My Hat." She holds the degree of Master of Philosophy in Eighteenth Century and Romantic Studies from Queens' College, Cambridge and a Graduate Certificate in Book Arts at the University of Iowa Center for the Book.
